Original Art. The canvas background - acrylics with a streaky texture - not flat, with painted lace applied to one side. The flowers were printed on fabric with pigment inks. The hand embroidery consists of fine stitching at the end of the petals and extensive stitching [mainly bullions and french knots] in the centres.

Original Art. The background fabric was painted with acrylics and printed with newspaper, then machine stitched, with a coating of acrylic wax applied to the surface to give a shiny effect, then wrapped around a canvas frame. The flowers and leaves were painted on recycled magazine pages, then collaged. These were then enhanced with freehand machine stitching and applied to the background.
